Aden (Agenzia Fides) - Almost two weeks after the massacre perpetrated by a terrorist commando in the nursing home in Aden (see Fides 04/03/2016), where four Missionaries of Charity along with 12 others were killed - there is still no news regarding father Tom Uzhunnalil, the Salesian priest who was in the structure and kidnapped by the terrorists after having carried out the massacre. "We know nothing, we do not know where he is and if he is still alive. We hope and pray for him", refers to Agenzia Fides Bishop Paul Hinder OFM, Apostolic Vicar for southern Arabia.
Meanwhile, Yemen continues to be ravaged by violence and military attacks. On Monday, March 14, at least 107 people died as a result of the bombing on a crowded market, carried out by a Saudi-led coalition in al Khamis in Hajjah province. On Tuesday 15 alone, the planes in Riyadh launched 11 attacks against the military camp in Arkub, in the capital Sana'a.
Since March 2015 the conflict has killed at least 10 thousand people. (GV) (Agenzia Fides 17/03/2016)
